This review is long overdue! I'm a realtor and have worked with several termite companies over the years. Jim, the owner of Lighthouse, has over 25 years of experience in his field. I met him a few years ago when he used to work for another termite company and I really liked his work ethic. Jim and his team have always gone above and beyond for my clients. They are very HONEST with the work that has to be done. I found Lighthouse Termite through my go to referral person at Nancy at Pizazz Salon, who has given me great referrals. Lighthouse is one of them. I hired them to do my termite work, which included tenting, and subterranean. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent.
The owner, Jim, advised me on the first call how to go about reviewing bids, and saved me from hiring a company who did not even make clear what they were doing and what I was getting for the money I spend in hiring them. Jim's inspection report delineated everything in detail. Jim is an honest contractor and I'm so glad I found him.
After hiring Lighthouse, the next step was scheduling with his office. Max handled everything so well, and was very patient with my many questions and numerous phone calls. I requested Max have the contractors call me with time lines, as I was trying to schedule other contractors for different jobs before and after the tenting. Everyone followed thru with keeping me in the loop perfectly, and consequently the rest of what I had to do went smoothly time wise.
I can't say enough about Lighthouse Termite. I would give them 10 stars if it were available.

My wife and I have used Lighthouse Termite Control twice.
The first time, Jim (the owner) and his crew tented our house for termites and the process could have not gone any smoother. Jim walked us though the whole process, provided instructions on bagging food, etc., and was there to answer any questions we had. His crew took great care in preparing and installing the tent. (Just a word of advice, if you have a tile roof, take out the insurance for breakage. Although the crew installing the tent is very careful when walking on your roof, I understood it's tile and not asphalt shingle and tiles can break.) The fumigation was completed on time at a fantastic price.
The second time, we had Lighthouse Termite Control replace the wood originally damaged by the termites. Jim came and met us after work and inspected the damage. He got back to us promptly with a detailed estimate noting exactly what needed to be done. (Not only did we have termite damage but also dry rot and fungus damage to our balcony.) Again, as previously with the fumigation, Lighthouse Termite Control provided an excellent estimate and we accepted his bid to do the work. Max, who handles the administrative portion of the business, called and scheduled the work for the following week. Jim's crew showed up as scheduled at the arranged time along with Jim so he could personally walk them through the property and show them the work to be done. The work was scheduled to take 4-5 days due to the extensive damage. It was finished on time, and they did a fantastic job. The crew, who did the woodwork, are true craftsmen. Their attention to detail is outstanding. Each day before they left the job site, the crew made sure they cleaned up so when we arrived home there wasn't a mess. Our balcony was rebuilt along with all the other work (fascia boards, rafter tails, window trim, shiplap boards) and looks better than the original. Jim came through numerous time while the work was being done to make sure everything was going smoothly (very hands on business owner), and he kept us updated on the progress daily.
On the final day Jim walked the property with the job foreman, to make sure nothing was missed. (I even saw Jim on my security camera picking up a couple of pieces of trash off my lawn and disposing of it.) He notified us that the job was completed but he wasn't going to be happy until we walked the property and everything was to our satisfaction.
From start to finish, we could not have been more pleased with Lighthouse Termite Control. Hats off to Jim, Max, and their crew for doing an outstanding job. For termites and the damage they cause, Lighthouse Termite Control is the company to call
